Where we standEvidenced
100% vegetable-tanned, chrome-free
Tanned exclusively with plant tannins. No chrome, no heavy metals, in no batch and with no exception.
Biodegradable
With no chrome and no heavy coating, the hide is biodegradable at the end of its long life.
A by-product, not a reason
Our hides are a by-product of the food industry. No animal is raised for PURLEDER leather.
In progress
Leather Working Group
We are working towards LWG certification. Until an audit is complete, we name no rating here.
REACH and OEKO-TEX
REACH conformity assessment is under way and an OEKO-TEX test is prepared. We will supply test reports on request as soon as they exist.
Wastewater and traceability
Building end-to-end traceability from farm to hide, along with documented wastewater treatment at the tanning site.
